Tension Between the Churches and the Government over Food-banks
You may have read or heard about a new report published by an all-party parliamentary group on food poverty, food-banks and other related matters. This is obviously a prime area of interest for an organization like IBEX, and it should come as no surprise to anybody who follows news about social policy, poverty or whatever else that such tension exists.
But it is also part of what IBEX is about to endeavour to get back to the basics, to cut through the “interpretation” that might be put on such things by the media and the press so that people can make up their own minds.
