I help churches to engage more confidently and creatively in their communities - through IBEX focusing on 'supporting church in the community', I work alongside churches to reflect on their role, spot local opportunities and needs, and develop practical, grounded responses that make a real difference.
Drawing on a rich background across multiple sectors, I bring together practical experience with the latest thinking in wellbeing, organisational development and community practice. A recent initiative, Wellbeing Creating Church in Chandler's Ford, embodies this vision by exploring how churches can actively contribute to the wellbeing and flourishing of the places they serve.
1 My background combines systems thinking with collaborative, people centred practice. I started out in Kaizen (a Japanese business philosophy of everyone involved in continuous improvement), then moved into consultancy on strategy, partnership working and organisational development. My previous roles include Collaborative Working Officer at NCVO and strategy and planning at the British Red Cross. Across all of this a consistent thread has been a focus on the common good - how the way we organise and work can better contribute to both the local and wider common good.

2 My early career in continuous improvement and participative, systems-based approaches to manufacturing and management evolved into consultancy work centred on collaborative strategy and development, and has increasingly led her to explore how the life of organisations - includng churches - can nurture deeper connection, resilience and flourishing at a community level.
I am actively involved in local church life and a community church, with hands-on experience in youth and children's work across both church based and secular settings. I am passionate about active citizenship and community organising and was a director and co-convener of The Civil Society Forum. I have one daughter and love being outdoors whenever I can.
